President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held his first strategic meeting with leaders and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), setting the tone for what appears to be an early and coordinated push toward the 2027 general elections.
The high-level engagement, which took place on Thursday, April 16, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, brought together key figures within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), including governors, party leaders, and campaign strategists.
Tinubu: “We Must Not Submit to Lawlessness”
In a speech that blended political mobilisation with a stern warning to opponents, Tinubu charged the ambassadors to take the “Renewed Hope” message across the country while defending democratic institutions.
“You represent the conscience of a nation that wants to break the shackles of poverty and hopelessness,” the President declared.
He warned against what he described as a growing culture of disregard for the rule of law, stating:
> “We cannot submit to disobedience of lawful court orders. We must embrace the judiciary, whether it favours us or not.”
Framing the campaign as a national mission, Tinubu stressed that unity and a shared vision remain central to Nigeria’s progress.
“There is no other path to national greatness than building one common vision for prosperity,” he added.

2027 Calculations Begin
Beyond the rhetoric, the meeting signals the formal activation of a nationwide political structure ahead of 2027, with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors positioned as the grassroots engine of Tinubu’s re-election strategy.
With coordinated messaging, institutional backing, and early mobilisation, the APC appears to be moving swiftly to consolidate political capital—while drawing clear battle lines against an opposition it accuses of destabilisation.
