Residents of Iworoko Ekiti were thrown into panic on Tuesday following the discovery of a lifeless body behind Ifeoluwadun (Lighthouse) Hostel along Lakers Street.
The victim, believed to be a graduate of Ekiti State University (EKSU), was found lying motionless with some school documents recovered at the scene, raising concerns about the identity and recent activities of the deceased.
Although the exact cause of death remains unknown as of the time of filing this report, the incident has heightened fears within the university community, especially amid growing reports of robbery attacks in and around Iworoko.
Security operatives and school authorities were later seen at the scene, where the body was evacuated for further investigation.
Residents have called for increased security presence in the area to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of students and locals.
