U.S. President Donald Trump has shared footage and a photo of the suspect involved in the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The video, posted on Truth Social, shows the moment the armed suspect charged toward a security checkpoint before being subdued by law enforcement. Trump also released an image of the suspect lying on the ground after being apprehended.

The incident, which occurred at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., caused panic among attendees as gunshots rang out, forcing Secret Service agents to swiftly evacuate the president and other top officials.
Authorities confirmed the suspect is in custody and acted alone. One Secret Service officer was hit but survived due to a bulletproof vest, while no guests were injured.
Trump described the attacker as a “sick person” and praised the quick response of security agencies, adding that the event will be rescheduled.
