Narendra Modi has expressed relief following a reported security incident at a hotel in Washington, D.C., involving former U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a statement, Modi said he was “relieved to learn” that Trump, the former First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President JD Vance were safe and unharmed after the incident.
The Indian leader extended his best wishes for their continued safety and well-being, while strongly condemning acts of violence.
“Violence has no place in a democracy and must be unequivocally condemned,” Modi stated.
