Ever since his wife took off for the nearest hills one year ago, Ngaile has been living a lonely life full of struggle, as he has to dabble between casual jobs, looking for work and taking care of his daughter, who needs attention all round the clock.

“I have no one to help me with the young woman, as I have to return home quickly to bathe and take care of her. Neighbours have, however, been helping me,” he said.
Ngaile was married for 18 blissful years before he was abandoned by his wife, and the mother of five said that she was tired of taking care of their 20-year-old daughter.
When a young law student heard what happened to Ngaile and his three children through a Sunday School meeting, he mobilised other people, and they raised KSh 7 million, then built the home and the surroundings and did some furnishing and the interior as well.
The well-wishers also bought the family clothes and also gave the daughter a wheelchair.
“I went to friends, authorities and neighbours, and they all chipped in,” said the law student who helped.

Is there hope for Ngaile and his wife?
Although things are looking up for Ngaile, there are no plans for him to reconcile with his wife, as she keeps taking him around in circles and also lies about the house she built, saying it belongs to her brother.

“We were given three months for a trial separation, but she was adamant, and all she did was defy all authorities and say that she left because her heart was sad.
