According to him, during his time in politics, election outcomes were sometimes decided before the actual voting process was completed. He explained that results could be prepared in advance and then passed on to the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RESIEC), whose role would only be to officially announce them.
His statement, which surfaced in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), has quickly gone viral and sparked concern among Nigerians. Many people are questioning the fairness and transparency of elections, especially at the local government level.
Critics say the claim raises serious issues about whether voters’ choices truly count. Some have called for authorities to investigate the matter and provide clear explanations to restore public trust in the electoral system.
