The mother of three fears her son may miss out on his education due to financial constraints.
Speaking to NgGossips, Wangechi, who is currently seeking a stable job, opened up about her son Telvin Njeri’s situation.

“Telvin is a second-year Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) student at Murang’a University of Technology, but he risks missing out on his education due to unpaid fees.
I need over KSh 84,000 to keep my son in school. Telvin is my only hope, and he is currently facing depression and emotional distress as his dreams are threatened by poverty,” she said emotionally.
Wangechi receives finances from friend
Wangechi noted that she has been both mother and father to her children for years, a responsibility that has weighed heavily on her, especially since she has no stable job or business.
One of her other children is also in school, adding to the financial burden as she struggles to meet basic needs.
“I am so stressed about my son’s fee balance, and he only has two years left to complete his studies. I do casual jobs from time to time to support my family. I do not have any support system. A friend once helped me with rent when I had nowhere to turn,” she added.

In 2022, Placida Rutto was on the verge of missing her Form One admission due to lack of school fees.
She sought help in a unique way by writing an emotional letter to Governor Wesley Rotich, explaining her family’s situation.
Years later, she fulfilled her promise. According to her 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, Placida scored an impressive A-.
Governor Rotich shared the good news shortly after the results were released on Friday, January 9, 2026.
