Nairobi, Kenya: Esther Passaris, the woman rep of the city in the sun, has donated KSh 100,000 towards the hospital bill of Lewis Baraka, the brother of Musa Kihara.

It has been raining goodies for the family of Musa Kihara, aka Kwa Mbae boy, whose brilliance and innocence while explaining the directions to his home grabbed the attention of many people.
It is through his conversation with a kind boda-boda rider that it emerged that his family lives in a shanty, with a kitchen that is almost falling down and bedrooms that lack the basics. He also said that their home was the only one in the area that did not have a gate.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg, as the family were facing a big problem, as their son was lying in hospital battling throat cancer, and they did not have the foggiest idea of where they were going to get KSh 2 million for his treatment. When the news went viral on social media, people started coming out to help.

How did other entities help Kwa Mbae family?
So far, the family has received cash donations generated towards the hospital bill, as young Lewis also underwent surgery, and Kenyans also want to build the family a house and ensure that they have stabilised them.
Apart from donating towards the bill, Passaris also gave Mama Mbae some money to make her hair and buy herself some shopping because she had already done some house shopping.
“I’m giving her mum some money to go and make her hair done, some shopping and to travel to her rural home. I will send KSh 100, 000 to the hopsital. You will need to do several things along the way and that should cover it,” she said.

Other well-wishers have also come out, and it turns out Mama Kwa Mae won’t need to use the money given to her for her hair
A salon in town also gave the woman a makeover, which made her smile from ear to ear. Her husband got very expensive clothes, and so did the boda boda rider who helped Mbae.

Kwa Mabe boy gets full scholarship
In a different story, Kwa Mbae and his brother Lewis Baraka were given full scholarships by Dedan Kimathi, who owns a school, and he will cover them from Grade One to university and inspire hope in their community.

The community was so grateful for the move and expressed heartfelt reactions, highlighting the spiritual journey and recognition for the blessings that the family has been receiving.
