Ahead of the much-awaited White House correspondents dinner on Saturday, April 25, a rumor went viral on social media that President Donald Trump was rushed to the hospital amid a medical emergency.
The rumor originated on the YouTube channel of MediasTouch, which reported that Trump was rushed to the Walter Reid hospital as he allegedly fell ill after arriving at the White House from Palm Beach, Florida, earlier on Saturday. However, no credible reports suggest that Trump was rushed to a hospital today.
He was photographed fit and healthy as he boarded Air Force One from the Pam Beach International Airport to arrive at Joint Base Andrews. As of now, no one from the White House press pool reported a health emergency surrounding Trump.
Here’s the MediasTouch YouTube video from where the claim originated.
The White House correspondent’s dinner starts at 8pm ET, with the red carpet kicking off at 6pm ET.
Trump Falling Asleep Sparked Health Concern
Trump’s health has been major topic of discussion over the last two days after the POTUS was allegedly caught sleeping during a White House press conference on Thursday, April 23. The video quickly went viral on social media, with many speculating that Trump could be ill. However, those claims only turned out to be speculation as Trump continued to make public appearances, appearing healthy.

Captain Sean Barbabella, the White House physician, said in an April 2025 update that Trump is in “excellent cognitive and physical health” and fully capable of fulfilling the duties of commander‑in‑chief.
The update came after the President’s annual five-hour medical at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Similar Concerns Surfaced Earlier In April
Notably, this is the second time in April 2026 that a rumor about Trump being rushed to the hospital has gone viral on social media. Social‑media posts and some viral videos claimed Trump had been taken to Walter Reed after a medical emergency, tied partly to a temporary “press lid.” An unusually quiet coverage by the White House press pool also contributed to the rumors.
However, the White House and Trump’s communications team stated that he was working at the White House at that time and labeled the hospital‑visit claims “fake news” and “conspiracy theories.”
