Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has sparked fresh controversy online after launching a fierce attack on some Igbo men criticising others for backing President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a no-holds-barred post shared on his social media page, the actor didn’t mince words, calling out what he described as hypocrisy and selective outrage among critics within the Igbo community.
Visibly angered, Yul slammed those targeting fellow Igbos for supporting Tinubu, questioning why the same energy isn’t directed at supporters from other regions.
“Any Igbo man dragging his fellow Igbo man for supporting Tinubu is a monkey and a coward,” he wrote.

He went further, daring critics to show evidence of them confronting Yoruba or northern supporters of the president, insisting that many only find their voice when it comes to attacking their own.
“You don’t have the liver to do it. But when it’s your Igbo brother, you’ll rush and set the ring light to drag him… shame on you,” he added.
This latest outburst comes weeks after the controversial actor openly declared his support for President Tinubu, a move that stirred mixed reactions across social media.
Yul had also announced his appointment as deputy South-East coordinator of the “Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” (RTIFN) group, affirming his commitment to the administration and its agenda.
