Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has addressed reports surrounding the incident at the Kugbo transport terminal, insisting that the structure did not collapse.
Speaking on the situation, Wike explained that the damage was caused by unusually strong winds, which he described as far beyond typical weather conditions.
He noted that the terminal’s location on elevated ground made it more exposed, as it sits higher than surrounding structures.
According to him, similar incidents have occurred in other parts of the world under extreme weather conditions, urging the public not to jump to conclusions about the integrity of the facility.
