A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence that the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will fully implement all campaign promises if elected.
Oyintiloye gave the assurance on Thursday during a visit to the palace of the Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Kayode Awogboro. He said the APC remains committed to fulfilling its pledges to voters, stressing that delivering on campaign promises is key to maintaining public trust.
According to him, the party has a history of executing people-oriented programmes and would continue in that direction if given the mandate in the upcoming governorship election.
He added that Oyebamiji would honour all commitments made during his campaign, while calling on residents to support the APC at the polls to attract more government attention and development projects to the area.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Obokun Constituency, also used the visit to seek support for the APC candidate, assuring that community concerns raised would be communicated to relevant authorities.
He cited projects executed during his tenure, including the refurbishment of a police armoured personnel carrier, reconstruction of the Ibokun roundabout, renovation of the palace, rehabilitation of market stalls, provision of boreholes and electricity transformers, as well as empowerment initiatives for farmers, traders, and vulnerable groups.
In his response, the Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Awogboro, called for increased federal presence in the community, including the establishment of a federal institution, noting the town’s continued political support and loyalty.
He said residents expect greater government attention in return for their contributions at the polls, adding that such intervention would boost local development.
