Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has been formally inducted into the Knighthood of Saint Paul in the Diocese of Ogbia, Bayelsa State, alongside 15 other recipients.
The investiture ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Emeyal II, where she also transferred her knighthood from the Aba Diocese to Ogbia Diocese.
Delivering the sermon, Bishop Chikordi Wachukwu urged the newly inducted knights to see the honour as a lifelong commitment to service, rather than a ceremonial recognition. He emphasised the need for dedication to God and humanity.
In her remarks, Patience Jonathan expressed appreciation for the honour and reaffirmed her commitment to continued service within the church. She also acknowledged the support of her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking at the event, Goodluck Jonathan reminded the inductees that knighthood is reserved for individuals of proven integrity and responsibility. He stressed that justice, honesty, and moral discipline remain critical to national development.
The ceremony drew clergy, community leaders, and dignitaries, highlighting the significance of the honour within the Anglican Communion in Bayelsa State.
