A Nigerian man was left stunned after a young woman, identified as Precious Chinyere, allegedly disappeared with his car and personal belongings during a hotel stay in Asokoro, Abuja.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 5, 2026, when the man and Precious checked into a hotel for what was described as a romantic getaway. By the next morning, she had reportedly vanished with his vehicle, phones, and other valuables.
The man reported the case to the police the following day. SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the investigation is ongoing and assured that efforts are being made to locate the suspect and recover the stolen property.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when lodging with someone and to always secure personal belongings, even during short stays.
