Frank Lampard has distanced himself from growing speculation linking him with a return to Chelsea FC, insisting his full focus remains on his current role at Coventry City FC.
Speaking amid renewed rumours about the Chelsea job, the former Blues midfielder acknowledged his deep connection to the club but stressed that any decisions regarding their future are not within his control.
“Chelsea is a big part of my life and at the moment that’s their business and my business is here,” Lampard said.
The Coventry boss also called on supporters to stay focused on the club’s progress, highlighting what he described as an “amazing season” so far. He urged fans to enjoy the current moment rather than be distracted by external speculation.
“I’d like to think Coventry fans would just be enjoying where we are. In the world of management, lots are out of your control — you just control your work,” he added.
Lampard further expressed pride in his team’s performances and reiterated his satisfaction with his role at the club.
“At the minute, I think we should just enjoy where we are. We’ve had an amazing season and I am really proud and pleased to be part of it. I enjoy what I’m doing here,” he said.
