Kericho County – A man from Kapchanga has received a major boost after being gifted five donkeys, just days after appealing to the public for support to rebuild his livelihood.

Kimutai is now the owner of five animals following the intervention of Belgut Member of Parliament Nelson Koech, Daktari Kelvin Kipchirchir Ufa told NgGossips.
The legislator honoured a promise he made five days ago, delivering the donkeys to Kimutai’s rural home in a gesture that has drawn widespread praise from residents.
Speaking after the delivery, Koech said he was keen to respect Kimutai’s wishes while remaining open to offering further assistance if needed.
“Sasa najua Gilbert anaenjoy. Sikutaka kubadilisha wish ya mtu, lakini pia akitaka support ingine niko,” he said.
The donkeys were reportedly sourced from Sondu town and delivered through the MP’s office.

An elated Kimutai expressed his gratitude, noting that the support would significantly improve his ability to earn a living.
“Hii sasa ni boost kwangu. Punda tano nitachapa kazi. Asante sana,” he said with gratitude.
Reactions from residents
Residents who witnessed the moment described it as life-changing, with many celebrating the fulfilment of Kimutai’s request.
Edwin, one of those present, said the outcome was proof that his dream had finally come true.
“Aliomba na amepewa. The dream is now coming true,” he remarked.
Another resident, Cherono, also praised the gesture, highlighting the value of the donation.
“Tunasema asante sana kwa hii support. Kupata punda tano sio rahisi,” she said.
The development comes just a day before a planned public harambee intended to further support Kimutai, with locals still expected to turn up in large numbers in a show of solidarity.
