A grieving family was left shocked and heartbroken after being involved in a road accident while ferrying the body of their loved one home for burial.

This came after the bus carrying the body of Christine Nancha from Kibera, Nairobi county, and headed to Kisumu county, overturned when it reached Kipkelion in Kericho county.
According to reports, the driver lost control moments before the vehicle overturned along the road, causing massive destruction.

The horrific scene was made even worse when one passenger reportedly died in the crash, while scores of others sustained injuries.
Those who were injured were rushed to hospital as police launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
At the scene, the destroyed coffin was left open, while the body, which had been removed from it, was respectfully covered on the grass.
The vehicle, which was a church bus, was also captured lying on its side, with items scattered all over the area. Bystanders watched in horror, forming small groups as they discussed what was unfolding before their eyes.
Did Christine Nancha’s body arrive in Kisumu?
Further reports indicate that another group of mourners travelling from Nairobi to Kisumu was alerted about the accident and drove to the scene to offer help.
They retrieved Nancha’s body from the wreckage and placed it back into the damaged coffin before continuing with the journey.

Fortunately, the body arrived at Osiri, Kanyijowi Village in Kisumu West, where the mother of two was laid to rest in an emotional funeral ceremony attended by family and friends.

Bus ferrying mourners to Kisumu overturns, killing 21 mourners
In other news, NgGossips reported that a road accident in Kisumu killed at least 21 people after the bus they were travelling in overturned at the Coptic Roundabout.
Following the crash, 20 others were injured and rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
