Eyewitness accounts and videos sighted by Nggossips showed party faithful chanting “OGD! OGD!” in support of the former governor, while one of his aides engaged individuals stationed behind the locked gate.
In another video, Daniel was seen addressing supporters from his white coaster campaign bus branded BAT/OGD Movement.
“We are here for our Ogun East APC caucus meeting, but surprisingly, we have been barred. We are told that we can’t enter.
“Let it be said that whatever they do here today is null and void,” Daniel declared.
Further checks revealed that the notice of invitation for the emergency stakeholders’ meeting, issued by party leaders in Ijebu-Ode, listed deputy governors, past and serving local government chairmen, councillors, as well as past and serving members of both the state and National Assembly, among others, as expected attendees.
