A woman died on Sunday morning after she was allegedly stabbed during a fight with another woman in the Barcelona area of Etwatwa near Daveyton. The incident happened at around 07:40 on 26 April 2026. Community members say the two women were fighting over a boyfriend.
Reports claim the victim was attacked while trying to run away and was stabbed several times, mostly in the back. She was declared dead at the scene.
According to witnesses and social media posts, the suspect stayed at the scene and sat next to the body. Police later took her into custody. A video showing the suspect near the victim has been widely shared online, shocking many in the community.
