In a recent video on Facebook, Renowned Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued fresh warnings to figures in the entertainment industry, cautioning about the fragility of fame and the challenges that often accompany rising popularity.
In a recent statement, Ayodele specifically advised Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy to remain prayerful in order to sustain his global success. “Let him pray not to lose fame,” the cleric said, suggesting that continued prominence in the spotlight requires spiritual vigilance.
Ayodele also turned his attention to a fast-rising content creator known as Peller, warning of looming challenges that could affect his career trajectory. According to the prophet, the young entertainer may soon face unexpected backlash despite his growing popularity.
“Peller, the boy that is doing content, they will put confusion in his way,” Ayodele stated. “Where he is supposed to get popularity, they will start hating him because of hate.”
The cleric emphasized that public perception can quickly shift, especially in the digital age where audiences are highly reactive. He warned that actions perceived as excessive or boastful could trigger criticism. “People will see whatever he is doing as doing ‘over sabi,’” Ayodele added, using a local expression to describe behavior seen as trying too hard to impress.
Ayodele urged the content creator to remain grounded and seek divine guidance during this critical phase of his career. “Let him pray very well, because instead of people to pray for him, they may turn against him,” he said.
The prophet’s remarks highlight the pressures faced by entertainers navigating fame, particularly in an era dominated by social media scrutiny and rapidly changing audience sentiments.
