Tharaka Nithi, Kenya: Young Musa Kihara, the famous Kwa Mbae boy, is set to transfer to a private school thanks to a well-wisher identified as Dedan Kimathi.

Speaking to Ugambi TV, the director of Chriskim Academy, Dedan Kimathi, also extended the invite to Lewis, Musa’s brother, who just underwent surgery at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Research Hospital for throat cancer.
Musa was thrown into the limelight when a kind boda boda rider found him looking tired and sad by the roadside and asked for directions to his place so that he could give the little boy a ride. Musa kindly obliged and shared the precise directions to his place with eloquence and, at the end, even asked if the boda rider had understood the way to his home.

Kenyans were amused by the boy and started flocking to his place to help his family with provisions, and that is when they discovered that the family was going through a very hard time, with their son also in the hospital struggling for his life.
Kenyans have since rallied behind the boy to see him get better treatment, and now they are looking forward to him getting well and upgrading his family.

Why did Kimathi decide to help?
In a video, Kimathi described Musa as a sharp and highly promising boy and expressed confidence in his bright future. He also called on Kenyans to continue keeping the family in their prayers.
“I learnt about the news three days ago, and I have been sponsoring vulnerable children over the years, so I thought that I should give Musa a full scholarship up to university,” he said.
“I will also give a full scholarship to his brother Baraka. Let us all come together for the fundraising of Baraka’s hospital bill,” he added.

Neighbour gives title deed for Lewis’ treatment
In a different story, Kwa Mbae resident Gitonga gladly gave out the title deed to his land so that young Lewis Baraka could get treatment.
As well-wishers trooped to the home, it emerged that a son of the family, identified as Lewis, was very sick and needed to be transferred from Chogoria Hospital’s ICU to KNH, and that is where the neighbour stepped in.
The boy’s family also received food items as well as a uniform for the boy and money to keep them going for some time from well-wishers.
