Barcelona moved a step closer to retaining the La Liga title after a 2-0 victory over Getafe CF at the Estadio Coliseum, with Marcus Rashford among the scorers.
The win extends Barcelona’s lead at the top of the table to 11 points over rivals Real Madrid, who dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Real Betis, leaving Hansi Flick’s side firmly in control of the title race with five games remaining.
Barcelona took the lead just before half-time when Fermín López finished off a well-worked move, latching onto a precise pass from Pedri to break the deadlock.
The visitors controlled large spells of the match, though Getafe pushed forward in search of an equaliser after the break as they continue their push for European qualification.
However, Barcelona sealed the win in the 74th minute when Rashford produced a composed finish on the counter-attack.
The on-loan forward, set up by a lofted pass from Robert Lewandowski, raced through on goal before calmly beating the goalkeeper to score his seventh league goal of the season.
