In a recent video on Facebook, Nigerian cleric Joshua Iginla has warned political leaders against actions that could destabilize the country, stressing that peace remains essential for national progress and personal wellbeing.….......
Speaking during a recent address, Iginla criticized what he described as reckless decisions by some leaders, accusing them of indirectly fueling unrest. “Some of our leaders have made mistakes. You can’t go and invite people to come and topple and bring pressure in the country and think that after you come in, you will have joy,” he said.
The cleric cautioned that those who contribute to instability may ultimately suffer the consequences of their actions. “You will not have joy,” he added, warning that chaos often affects everyone, including those who initiate it.
Iginla further expressed concern that such actions undermine the efforts of others working to stabilize the nation. “You are making the people who are doing their best look as if they don’t know what they are doing,” he said, urging unity and support for efforts aimed at restoring order.
He emphasized that citizens are aware of the realities on the ground and cannot be deceived. “We are not blind. I’m not a blind prophet, but I have to talk on every side,” he stated, positioning his comments as a balanced perspective on national issues.
The cleric called for continuous prayers and collective responsibility in addressing Nigeria’s challenges. “Let’s continue to pray for this country. You will get there. You will not bury any of your loved ones,” he said, expressing hope for a safer future.
Highlighting the importance of peace, Iginla noted that stability is key to achieving personal and national goals. “The country becomes sweet when there is peace. You can carry out your future. When there’s no peace, you can’t do it,” he added.
