The Adamawa State Government has reiterated its ban on the indiscriminate posting of political posters and campaign materials on public infrastructure, warning that violators will face strict enforcement measures.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mohammed Sadiq, the government said the directive already in force remains non-negotiable as political activities begin to intensify ahead of upcoming elections.
Authorities expressed concern over the renewed defacement of public facilities, including flyovers, bridges, street poles, road signs, schools, and hospitals.
The government described the trend as unacceptable, noting that public infrastructure reflects the image, pride, and investment of the people.
To address the situation, the government announced a series of enforcement measures:
Zero Tolerance: The ban will be strictly enforced across all parts of the state.
Equal Application: All political parties, aspirants, supporters, and organisations are subject to the directive without exception.
