The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Abia State, Chijioke Chukwu has advised the state government to urgently end the ongoing judiciary workers’ strike in the state by granting autonomy to their operations .
Chukwu was speaking at Uzuakoli, Bende LGA on Wednesday when Abia State House of Assembly member, Emmanuel Ndubuisi declared his intention to contest for the Bende Federal constituency seat.
The APC Chairman who lamented that the ongoing judiciary workers’ strike is negatively affecting the administration of justice across the State, urged Governor Alex Otti to keep to his pre-2023 election promises about judiciary autonomy.
” The judiciary workers are still on strike and they are still struggling to have autonomy. I was in the same party with the Governor and this is not what he promised us” the APC Chairman said.
He commended the House of Representatives aspirant, Emmanuel Ndubuisi for the role he played in the defection of Chinasa Iheanyi, the National Assembly Liaison Officer to Governor Alex Otti who recently left the LP to join the APC.
The Abia APC Chairman warned local government Chairmen in the State to develop their areas with monthly allocations they are recieving from Abuja or be prepared to be dragged to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Earlier in his declaration, the member representing Bende South constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Ndubuisi said he is contesting to represent the Bende Federal constituency presently occupied by Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu.
