Our attention has been drawn to the activities of an online platform, NAIJONPOINT.COM, which has repeatedly engaged in the unauthorized reproduction of our editorial content and blackmail.
This platform copies our reports verbatim and republishes them across its website and social media channels without attribution or permission. Beyond this, they have adopted a disturbing pattern of using such publications as a tool for blackmail—demanding payments from individuals and organizations as high as ₦200,000, in exchange for the removal of some of these posts.
As a credible news organization committed to the highest standards of journalism, NGGOSSIPS Nigeria has made several attempts to engage the operators of this platform and formally requested that they cease these unlawful and unethical practices. Unfortunately, these efforts have been ignored.
We have reported these activities to the appropriate authorities in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, where the platform claims to maintain operational links with phone number – +44 (738) 967 3342.
In addition, we have escalated the matter to global technology platforms, including Google and X (formerly Twitter), regarding issues of copyright infringement and platform abuse.
We hereby state unequivocally that NAIJONPOINT.COM is not affiliated with NGGOSSIPS Nigeria in any way. We fully dissociate ourselves from their activities and operations.
Members of the public, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders are strongly advised to exercise caution in dealing with this platform.
We remain committed to upholding integrity, professionalism, and accountability in our work, and we will continue to take all necessary steps to protect our content and reputation.
