Prominent Nigerian Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, has questioned the identities of pilots responsible for bomb releases on innocent locals in parts of Nigeria.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday, April 12, 2026, Sheikh Gumi listed several incidents, including the Tudun Biri attack in Kaduna, the Nasarawa attack on a herdsmen trailer, the Sokoto attack, and others, describing them as “just the few ones recorded.”
He stated: “Who are the pilots behind these bomb releases on innocent locals? Tudun biri, Nasarawa attack on herdsmen trailer, Sokoto attack etc are just the few ones recorded. Terror cannot be fought with another terror.”
The cleric called for immediate Senate hearings on what he described as “so-called ‘mistakes’” involving the bombing of villages, markets, and civilian targets.
“There should be an immediate Senate hearings on these so-called ‘mistakes’ on bombing villages, markets and civilians targets. We need answers not condolences,” he wrote.
Article was accompanied by a photograph showing a crowd of people gathered around a vehicle, apparently at the scene of one of the incidents. It also included a link to a Daily Trust report titled “‘Over 50 Killed In Accidental Bombing’ At Borno–Yobe Border Market.”
