Former Vice President and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar has said the opposition coalition would boost his chances in the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the coalition under the ADC platform consists of political leaders from major political parties.
He disclosed this in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.
Responding to questions on what would make his latest presidential ambition different from previous attempts, Atiku pointed to what he described as a more structured and inclusive alliance cutting across political divides.
“Now, we have a broader coalition a combination of APC, PDP, and LP which gives me a better chance of becoming president in 2027,” he said.
He further explained that the coalition reflects a generational mix within Nigeria’s political space.
“You see people of my generation, you see people below my own generation down the line, so you can see clearly a succession pattern,” Atiku noted.
According to him, the arrangement represents a strategic realignment and margin of political forces ahead of the 2027 general election.
