The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Election and fixed the price for its expression of interest and nomination forms.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, made this known to newsmen in a statement he issued to them on Monday.
Morka said the schedule of activities was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu.
He said the timetable outlined among other activities the timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms to candidates.
According to the schedule, the expression of interest and nomination forms for presidential aspirants is ₦100 Million, while governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 Million.
NAN reports that House of Representatives aspirants will pay ₦10 million; Senate, ₦20 million; and State House of Assembly ₦6 million for both the expression of interest and nomination forms.
Female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities are to pay only for the expression of interest forms and 50 percent of the nomination fees.
The timetable showed that the notice of election to state chapters commenced on April 20, 2026, marking the official beginning of the party’s internal electoral process.
The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents are fixed for May 4, 2026.
Screening of aspirants across all categories, including governorship positions, State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate, will take place between May 6 and 8.
The party further scheduled May 9 for the screening of presidential aspirants, while the publication of screening results for all categories had been set for May 11.
Appeals arising from the screening are to be held between May 12 and 13 to provide aggrieved aspirants the opportunity to seek redress.
Primary elections are expected to begin with the presidential slated for May 15 and 16, followed by the House of Representatives on May 18.
According to the timetable, Senate primaries will be held on May 20, while the State House of Assembly is scheduled for May 21.
Governorship primaries will conclude the exercise on May 23.
The timetable also provides for election appeals, with the presidential category slated for May 18, while appeals for other offices will continue through May 25.
Morka reassured party’s members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of the party’s commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that would further strengthen its internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals.
He stated that the outlined schedule reflected the party’s resolve to strengthen internal democracy while ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all aspirants.
