The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied releasing photographs of 115 dismissed personnel, cautioning the public against misinformation circulating online.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, the agency explained that while it is currently undergoing internal reforms aimed at maintaining professionalism and integrity within the Service, it has not published any photos of the affected individuals.
The DSS warned the public against dealing with some dismissed personnel who are allegedly impersonating active DSS operatives to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.
The Service specifically mentioned Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin among those reportedly posing as operatives. It advised members of the public to verify any suspicious contacts through its official communication channels.
