The demonstrations took place near the Kenya National Archives in the afternoon, as protesters called on the government to lower fuel costs.

Jomo Kenyatta lookalike taken to court
In another story, the Kenyatta lookalike was arraigned alongside other protesters following the demonstrations.
They were taken to the Nairobi City County Law Courts, where they were charged and later released on a KSh 3,000 cash bail each, with some Kenyans feeling the penalty was lenient.
