Tharaka Nithi: Boda boda riders make grand entrance at Kwa Mbae home, raise KSh 165k for ailing boy

Tharaka Nithi, Kenya: Boda boda riders are among the latest people to show love and support to the family of the Kwa Mbawe boy identified as Musa Kihara.

The young boy was found along the road by a kind boda boda rider who noticed that he looked quite sad, and he gave him a lift home. He later posted the video of the boy online, and many people were impressed by the brilliance of the young one.

The boda boda riders made a colourful entrance to the home of the boy, and many people were impressed by the unity of the people and the riders. Those who have also had or seen bida bida riders embroiled in nasty confrontations were also impressed that there is another face to the riders.

How much did Meru riders raise?

“As riders, we decided not to wait until April 26, because we have our own plans; we were free today and next Sunday we weill be going to another function,” he said.

The riders stormed the compound with shopping and raised KSh 165 000 for the family, which is grappling with a huge bill as their son, Lewis, was transferred from PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital and underwent surgery at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Research Hospital.

The riders were drawn from Tharaka Nithi and Maru counties and were united by the need to see the family of the young boy smiling again. They were also proud of one of their own who discovered the brilliant boy.

Kenyans are raising funds to go and visit the family and raise money for their well-being on April 26.
