Kiara Brokenbrough, who once became an internet sensation after her simple wedding went viral, has sadly lost her life, leaving her family shattered.
How old was Kiara when she died?
No one is more heartbroken than her husband, Joel, now a widower, who had built a loving marriage with her over the years.
Kiara died during childbirth after welcoming her firstborn son, who will now grow up without his mother following the tragedy.

“Let’s take a moment to send love and our deepest prayers to the Brokenbrough family as they face a loss that no family ever plans for, especially during a time that was meant to be filled with joy and celebration. Kiara Brokenbrough, the woman who captured the internet’s attention after going viral for hosting a beautiful wedding on just KSh 65,000, has tragically passed away during childbirth. She was only 32 years old,” Kecia Kae wrote.
On March 30, as her son Jonah was born, her life came to an unexpected end, turning what should have been a joyful day into one filled with deep sorrow.

Her loved ones shared that her final gift was her baby boy, Jonah, a child she had prayed for and longed to hold.
“Though born prematurely and currently in the NICU, Jonah is showing strength every day, giving hope to his family and even the hospital staff caring for him,” the post continued.
The couple had been married for four years and were in the process of relocating from West Virginia back to their native California when Kiara unexpectedly passed away.
Just days before her death, they had celebrated with a joyful gender reveal and baby shower surrounded by loved ones.
