The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates who currently see “No Result Yet” while checking their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results are underage applicants whose results have not been released.
This was contained in a statement issued by the JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to Benjamin, the message does not indicate a technical error, but reflects the status of candidates who do not yet meet the eligibility requirements for admission.
He said only candidates who would be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 were eligible to register for and sit the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), except in special cases.
He said underage candidates may only be considered under an exceptional category if they demonstrated outstanding academic ability.
This, he said, included scoring 320 and above in the UTME and attaining at least 80 percent in subsequent screening exercises.
According to him, only underage candidates who meet the 320 UTME benchmark will be shortlisted and invited for further screening.
Benjamin added that the arrangement was reached and endorsed by parents of the affected candidates.
“For now, results for underage candidates remain unreleased,” he said.
