The National Youth Service Corps (National Youth Service Corps) has released call-up letters for prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, confirming deployment details and call-up numbers on its official portal.
Checks on Monday showed that the call-up information was uploaded early in the day, with many candidates sharing screenshots confirming access to their postings. However, heavy traffic on the portal led to delays and intermittent access for several users.
“There is traffic,” a prospective corps member said, noting difficulties experienced while attempting to log in and retrieve deployment details.
Across social media platforms, several applicants also complained about slow loading times and expressed concerns over state postings, describing the process as stressful due to the high number of users accessing the system simultaneously.

The NYSC portal remains the official platform for checking deployment status via https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/ and https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/.
The release comes shortly after the corps announced the schedule for the upcoming orientation programme.
In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Caroline Embu, the NYSC confirmed that the orientation exercise will begin on April 22, 2026, across all camps nationwide.
According to the statement, “The Orientation Course will commence with reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, and end at midnight of Friday, 24th April 2026.”
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for April 24, while the full orientation programme will run until May 12.
The scheme also advised prospective corps members to prioritise personal safety while travelling to their assigned orientation camps, warning against night journeys.
“Prospective Corps Members are advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 pm and continue the following morning,” the statement added.
