Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Ladi Folarin has shared how his former staff chose his church over his job and quit when given an ultimatum. Speaking in an interview on FeelRightNews TV, Folarin recalled a time when he ran a tea company.........…
He employed a staff ... member who belonged to the Deeper Life Church.
The worker would leave by 6 pm every day to go for church service.
This often happened when there were supplies to handle. Folarin said he became angry one day and gave the man a hard choice.
He told him to stop going to church or be sacked. Instead of giving up his faith, the worker chose to quit. So Folarin fired him.
Not long after that, the business collapsed. Folarin admitted that looking back, he realized he had made a serious mistake.
He said he had challenged God by forcing the man to choose between work and his worship. The actor now sees the business failure as a direct result of that action.
His words; “When I was running my tea company, I employed a staff member who was a member of Deeper Life Church. Every day by 6 pm, he would leave the work we were doing and tell me that he wanted to go to church. Most of the time, we usually had supplies to handle, so I got angry one day and told him that he either stopped going to that church or I would sack him. He then accepted to quit the job, so I fired him. Shortly after that, my business crumbled. Later, I realized that I had challenged God by telling the guy to choose between my work and God…....…
