Gehgeh sends N5m to sister, sets strict conditions as family support hits N6m

Popular Nigerian content creator, Emmanuel Obruste, widely known as Gehgeh, has sparked widespread online debate after revealing that he personally added N5 million to an existing N1 million donation raised for his younger sister, Precious.

The update was shared in a video posted on X, where Gehgeh confirmed that Nigerians had earlier contributed N1 million for his sister’s empowerment before he increased the total support to N6 million.

In the video, Gehgeh appreciated Nigerians for their contribution and revealed that his manager was present during the transaction.

“I just sent N5m to my sister in addition to the N1m contribution. N5 million successfully sent,” he said.

He explained that the funds are meant to help Precious establish herself financially and achieve independence.

However, Gehgeh stated that the financial support comes with strict conditions.

He said his sister must provide monthly updates on how the money is spent and show measurable progress within one year.

According to him, the aim is for her to become financially stable enough to also support other family members in the future.

The content creator also used the moment to share his views on financial responsibility in relationships, insisting that men should not feel obligated to support girlfriends financially.

“Your girlfriend is not your responsibility. Let her work and take care of herself,” he said.
