Edumoh champions financial responsibility at US Consulate Lagos

A real estate executive and emerging voice in sales and financial intelligence, Evelyn Edumoh, recently joined global conversations on youth empowerment and financial literacy as a guest speaker at the United States Consulate in Lagos.

The session, themed “Planning for the Future: Wealth, Choices & Sustainability,” brought together a vibrant community of young professionals and change-makers seeking to deepen their understanding of financial responsibility and long-term decision-making. She noted.

Edumoh, alongside wealth coach and financial educator Sola Adesakin of Smart Stewards, led a compelling conversation that moved beyond conventional discussions about money.

“Wealth without direction is noise. Choices without values are risky. Sustainability requires intention,” she said, reinforcing the need for young people to approach financial growth with clarity and responsibility. The future doesn’t just happen. It is planned — one choice at a time,” she said.

She further described the session as both energizing and necessary, emphasizing the importance of having these conversations early.

The United States Mission in Nigeria, in its official communication following the event, noted that the YALI Skills Lab aims to empower young African leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to excel and drive positive impact.

The session on financial literacy, facilitated by Evelyn and Adesakin, provided participants with practical insights into building healthy financial habits and planning for a secure financial future.
