Aircraft manufacturer Bombardier and private jet charter operator Vista have signed a $300m services agreement covering the operator’s existing aircraft and incoming Challenger 3500 fleets.
According to AeroTime, the companies announced on 20 April 2026, that the deal would be anchored on Bombardier’s Smart Parts programme, designed to provide Vista with a cost-per-flight-hour framework to “maximise convenience and cost protection for parts”.
Vista said the programme would support portions of its current fleet and future deliveries, including most of its Global 8000 aircraft and its recent order of 40 firm and 120 optional Challenger 3500 jets.
Bombardier’s Smart Parts programme offers cost coverage for component exchanges across major systems such as avionics, tyres, brakes, and corrosion, among others.
The agreement will also extend to the majority of Vista’s Global 8000 fleet.
Earlier, on 15 April 2026, Vista took delivery of the first of 18 Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft as part of a broader fleet upgrade aimed at enhancing its existing Global 7500 jets.
Speaking on the development, Vista’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nick van der Meer, said, “This agreement marks an important step in further enhancing the reliability and performance of the Vista fleet. By leveraging this agreement, we are strengthening our ability to deliver a seamless and consistent experience to our clients around the world, ensuring that every Vista flight meets the highest standards of quality, safety and service that our clients expect.”
Vista added that the five-year services contract will “support higher aircraft availability and help to minimise any operational disruption”.
Also commenting, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Aftermarket Services, Paul Sislian, said, “Bombardier’s pioneering Smart Parts cost-per-flight-hour programmes are designed to maximise flexibility, convenience and budget predictability, making it an ideal choice for our longstanding customer Vista.”
He added, “This services and support agreement with Vista leverages our Smart Parts programmes and further deepens the relationship that exists between the two companies, providing cost protection for select models of Vista’s Challenger and Global aircraft.”
