It stated that, ”The Nigerian Army have recorded significant operational successes across multiple theatres within the last 24 hours, neutralising threats, rescuing kidnapped victims and disrupting criminal networks through coordinated, intelligence-driven operations.”

It added that,” The successes reflect sustained offensive actions and effective inter-agency collaboration in tackling insecurity nationwide.”

In Sokoto State, troops also cleared several communities and rescued a foreign national.

“Troops also rescued a Nigerien national held captive for over three weeks, further highlighting the cross-border dimension of terrorist activities,” the statement partly read.

In Niger State, the Army said troops neutralised threats, dismantled terrorist camps and destroyed illegal mining sites, while also apprehending suspects.

On drug and arms-related operations, troops in Akwa Ibom State arrested six suspects and recovered large quantities of illicit substances.

In Rivers State, troops dismantled illegal bunkering facilities, recovering equipment and refined products used for illicit oil refining.

“Troops uncovered and dismantled illegal bunkering infrastructure, recovering 4 galvanised pipes, hoses, reservoirs, drum ovens and other equipment used in illegal refining activities,” it stated.
