2027: We will participate in elections despite factional leadership – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said it would participate actively in the 2027 general elections irrespective of factional leadership.

A chieftain of the party, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, made this known on Sunday during an interview on Arise Television.

According to him: “A Supreme Court judgment will decide the fate of the PDP, but for now, the party is trying to rebuild.

“The PDP has been battered from 2022 to date by clashing interests, internal conflict, and a lack of leadership.

“The Appeal Court has recognised a leadership structure in the party, and we expect them to present candidates for the 2027 election.

“Until the Supreme Court rules on this matter, the PDP cannot afford to let anarchy destroy the party.”
