Nollywood comic actor Amokade Olatayo, popularly known as Ijebu, has sparked a mixture of amusement and disbelief online after claiming to have spent a staggering ₦1.8 trillion on internet data and Wi-Fi subscriptions between January and December 2025.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the Yoruba film star appeared visibly distressed, claiming that the “calculation” of his annual digital expenses had cost him his sleep.
The “Trillion Naira” Calculation
Ijebu noted that the high cost of maintaining an online presence and streaming had reached an astronomical level that defied logic.
“I am thinking, and I can’t even sleep. I calculated the total amount I have spent on internet data, subscription, and wifi from January to December, and it is N1.8 trillion.”
In other news…. Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), along with his wife, Pastor Folashade Olukoya, have shared insights into how they first met and eventually got married during the 1980s.
In a video interview shared on his verified Instagram page on Saturday, Dr. Olukoya recounted their early connection. He revealed that their paths initially crossed through church music, particularly his dedication to teaching Negro Spirituals to church choirs.
“I was a collector of Negro Spirituals and often taught these songs to choirs. I had the opportunity to teach the choir at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Headquarters in Lagos,” he explained.
He added that Pastor Folashade was part of that choir and shared his passion for this style of music.
“She was a choir member and had a genuine love for Negro Spirituals,” he said.
Dr. Olukoya said their relationship strengthened after he returned from his PhD studies, when he began hosting youth revival meetings.
“After completing my PhD, I organized revival gatherings for young people. She was interested in these Holy Spirit-led meetings, which brought us closer together,” he noted.
He further shared that a spiritual confirmation convinced him that she was meant to be his life partner, prompting him to propose.
“Following the revelation that ‘she is your wife,’ I proposed. She prayed, observed a three-day dry fast, and came back with a positive response,” he said.
Dr. Olukoya also mentioned that his father supported the relationship, and they formally began courting.
“My father approved of the relationship, and that’s when we started courting,” he added.
He concluded by noting that their shared devotion to God and music played a central role in their bond.
“What truly brought us together was our mutual love for God and our passion for music to glorify Him,” he said.
