The political drama within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) just got spicier! The Taminu Turaki-led faction has thrown down the gauntlet, vowing to take the fight all the way to the Supreme Court after the Court of Appeal in Abuja upheld a ruling invalidating their national convention in Ibadan last November.
Judge Uchechukwu Onyemenam ruled that Turaki’s faction breached constitutional rules, making the Ibadan convention null and void. But Turaki’s camp isn’t backing down. In a fiery statement, their National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, insisted:
“The battle is far from over. We have instructed our lawyers to appeal immediately to the Supreme Court, the final authority, to settle this matter once and for all. We urge our members to stand firm; victory is on the horizon!”
The faction warned that implementing the current judgment could cause massive disruption for party members, signaling that the political tug-of-war is far from over. With the Supreme Court now in the spotlight, all eyes are on PDP’s next explosive move.
Stay tuned—this saga is just heating up!
