“I thank the prison wardens for helping me reform during my time there. I also greatly appreciate the commissioner for giving me the means to start my life afresh. I am now a professional builder, and these tools will help me in my work,” he said.

Former prisoner seeks forgiveness
“To anyone I wronged, I sincerely ask for forgiveness. I have learned my lesson and will not repeat my mistakes. I have been taught many good things here, and I am ready to face life in the community. I do not intend to go back to my old ways,” he said.
A police officer noted that the former inmate had requested to speak with the commissioner and made a plea for support to help him restart his life.
The commissioner listened to his request and pledged to assist him in acquiring the tools needed to begin his new journey.
“He has constructed several structures here, and we have seen his work. We are optimistic that he will achieve great things. He came here as a boda boda rider, but he is leaving as a builder,” the officer added.
