Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna has admitted that she has, in the recent past, been asked whether she would date again.

The woman of God and her late husband enjoyed a loving and peaceful marriage for over 30 years before he succumbed to cancer.
Kiuna succumbed to cancer on July 9, 2024, while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.

Will Kathy date again?
During an interview with her daughter Stephanie Kiuna, the woman of God opened up about the possibility of dating again.

Stephanie had asked her followers to share questions they would love to hear her mother answer.
She questioned whether her mother was ready to date nearly two years after the bishop’s passing.
“Mummy, are you ready? Does mum Kathy ever see herself dating again? Not to replace dad, but just for companionship,” Stephanie asked.
Kathy revealed that she had been questioned about it before, but she is still raw from her late husband’s death.
“I’m hearing that a lot… a lot a lot of those questions, and I’ll be honest with you, and I’m just answering this because this is chatting with Steph. Um, I think for me. I’m still so raw about um losing my husband. Yeah,” Kathy responded.
The lady bishop noted that she had not even considered the possibility of dating someone else. For now, she was focused on Christ.
Kathy said that for her to even consider dating someone, God would have to speak to her.
“And I’m so raw that it’s not even something I have even ever thought about or considered. Yeah. I even you know, had a thought. Yeah, crossing your mind. It’s like what do you mean? It has never even crossed my mind. Yeah. And what I’ll say is I will not say yes or no. Yeah. I will say for me I’m so sold out to God that He would have to really speak with a voice. A loud one. Very loud. Very loud. Like, yeah, this is the way to walk in it. Do you understand? I’ve not even thought about it,” she said.

The idea of dating has not crossed Kathy’s mind yet.
“It’s too painful. Like, I can’t even. It’s so painful. I can’t even imagine it. Yeah. Right now. So that’s my answer. I can’t imagine it. Not thought about it. It never crossed my mind. I’ve not imagined it at all. Yeah. And I think for now I leave that very far away. Yeah,” she added.
The preacher also touched on her grieving, sharing that people grieve differently, and revealed that for her, there was a lot of judgment.

“And I’m going to say something, and I believe it’s going to help somebody. You see, uh, people grieve very differently. Very differently. Never judge somebody for the way they grieve. I have seen it now in my grieving period. Um, there are lots of judgements, lots of comments, lots of uh stories that are so unreal and so unrealistic. Yeah.”
