The lawmaker appreciated the support of party members and urged them to sensitise their followers on the need to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 polls.

He pledged continued support in mobilising citizens to exercise their civic responsibilities and reiterated his commitment to engaging clerics, whom he described as guides of society.

Buba stated that he was fully prepared to contest and win the party’s primary election, adding that he remained committed to providing effective leadership for the people of Bauchi State.

The senator called for strict adherence to democratic principles, urging party leadership to conduct free, fair and transparent primaries.

He noted, “We are now done with our party convention, and as you already know, I will contest the governorship position in the state in 2027.”

“Party stakeholders should be allowed to choose candidates based on merit and capacity according to the rules of the party,” he said, while also calling on members to remain calm amid ongoing political speculations.

Buba further assured supporters of his continued commitment to the race, noting that major stakeholders and aspirants within the party remained united.

NGGOSSIPS Online reports that as part of his support, the lawmaker donated N10m to aid the activities of the organisation’s committee.

Disclosing the donation, Buba said, “I see this event, and it gladdens me very much. I know the organisers have made provisions for logistics, but I am personally donating ten million naira to support their efforts.”

In a related development, Buba held a special meeting on Tuesday with the Shura Council of the Bauchi State Muslim community, APC stakeholders, and supporters, following the party congress, where he reiterated the need for voter education and PVC registration.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Yusuf Jahun, commended clerics for their participation and lauded the senator for executing projects that have positively impacted the lives of the people.

Jahun praised Buba’s representation of Bauchi South, citing his charitable initiatives and contributions to community development.

Members of the council, comprising scholars and imams from various Islamic sects, including Darika, Izala and Shia, delivered lectures on the importance of good leadership and community service.

They commended the senator for building mosques and Islamic schools, empowering youths, supporting the less privileged and sponsoring students through scholarships and tuition payments.

The scholars also offered prayers for his continued good health and success in his political aspirations.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Media to the senator, Sabo Mohammed, said the meeting was aimed at congratulating the newly elected state executives and fostering unity among party members.

He added that the senator remained fully committed to securing the party’s governorship ticket, noting that many residents of the state had called on him to contest based on his leadership qualities.
