The former MP was a beloved political figure in Narok county, where he served as a member of parliament for three consecutive terms, having immersed himself in the murky waters of politics at a younger age.
As Kenyans continue to mourn him and comfort his wife and children, many have also been recounting the memorable times when the MP was teased for staying in bachelorhood for long.

During his wedding in 2018, then deputy president William Ruto comically teased him while welcoming him into his new status as a married man.
“I am happy you can now settle down as a family man. The problems we have with you in the past are now water under the bridge. You are now an elder. Welcome to the married club,” Ruto said during the high-profile wedding ceremony that got tongues wagging.
For long, the MP had been teased for being single and even pressured to marry by his close family members, including his mum, and other friends from the political circle.
His mum had constantly reminded him about her desires of grandchildren as she pressured him to take up a wife.
“My son, please marry, I want grandchildren. Or do you want to give me grandchildren when I am too old and can see no more?” she once told him, as reported by Nairobi News.
Why did Ng’eno wait until age 44 to marry
In a previous interview with TV47, the lawmaker revealed that he had delayed marriage because he wanted to achieve his goals before settling down.

The MP recalled that even Emurua Dikirr locals pressured him to get married, hilariously threatening to deny him votes in the 2022 polls because he did not have a wife and children.
“My parents started telling me to think about marriage while I was still in school, but I refused. In university, they still pressured me, but I refused. I had decided that I had to first achieve all my dreams and goals. When I got into politics, the voters would remind me that I was single. I told them the MP seat would be first wife,” he said while bursting into laughter.
After getting into parliament for his first-ever term, Ng’eno said his plans to get married had to take a backseat, as he devoted his time to helping his constituents.
“As I sought reelection, the voters warned me that they would not vote for me again if I did not marry. I had time to think about all the achievements I had made, from getting my degree, master’s and even becoming an MP. Indeed. it was a time,” he said.
