President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have paid glowing tribute to Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), as he marks his 84th birthday on Monday.
In a statement on Sunday, by the President’s spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President described Pastor Adeboye as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts” and a “spiritual fortress” who continually intercedes for Nigeria and its people.
President Tinubu praised the cleric’s humility and depth of wisdom, noting that his impact extends far beyond the pulpit.
He highlighted Pastor Adeboye’s contributions to philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, saying his leadership has positively influenced millions within and outside Nigeria.
The President and First Lady congratulated the revered preacher, fondly known as Daddy G.O., and joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the wider Christian community in thanking God for what they described as an exceptional life of service and impact that transcends cultures and borders.
They also commended Pastor Adeboye’s “unceasing prayers” for Nigeria and his commitment to the country’s unity and progress, describing his patriotic zeal as steadfast and inspiring.
Acknowledging his more than five decades of ministry, the President said Pastor Adeboye’s teachings have continued to shape and transform lives across generations.
President Tinubu and the First Lady prayed for continued good health and strength for the cleric as he continues his spiritual leadership and service.
