The ceremony drew leaders and dignitaries from across the political divide, including then Deputy President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga. He was 45 and serving his second term as MP.
Born into the well-known Ntutu political family of Narok, Nayianoi is the daughter of former Narok Senator Stephen Ole Ntutu and niece to Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu.
