Kikuyu constituency Member of Parliament, Kimani Ichung’wah, stunned many after turning up in a full high school uniform.

Ichung’wah, an alumnus of Alliance Boys High School, appeared at the school dressed in the institution’s traditional attire. He wore grey trousers, a white shirt, a tie, the green sweater, and completed the look with official black shoes.

The centenary event was also attended by several other leaders, including President William Ruto, who was warmly received by the Kikuyu MP.

Ichung’wah greeted the head of state, sharing laughter with Ruto, who seemed amused at seeing the lawmaker looking every bit a student once again.
“Celebrating 100 years of excellence, legacy, and nation building at Alliance High School. A century of shaping leaders and impacting generations. Thank you, H.E. President William Samoei Ruto for gracing this monumental and historic celebration,” Ichung’wah shared.
During the celebrations, President Ruto launched various projects, including a new dining hall, the 640-bed Centennial Hostel, and inspected the ongoing construction of a new church at the school.
In a statement on social media, the President also announced the commissioning of the Solarisation Programme for Basic Education Institutions.
The initiative aims to reduce energy costs in schools, expand access to clean and reliable power, and unlock the potential to generate up to 150 megawatts of solar energy.
